WEDNESDAY WISDOM

MORNING BIBLE MEDITATION

“My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up.” Psalm 5:3

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Christianity is a love relationship. You cannot love someone that you do not know. And you cannot know someone that you don’t spend quality time with.

To know Jesus is to love Him.
To love Him is to trust Him.
To trust Him is to obey Him.
To obey Him is to be blessed.

It begins with a quality, daily communication with the Lord. Why is it best to spend time with the Lord in the morning? Because you are getting ready to go on a road trip through life. You don’t take the trip and then read the map, do you?

ACTION POINT:
How are you starting your mornings? With a cup of coffee and the paper? Or with the pure milk of the Word and the light of His presence?

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

Why do people give things up until Easter Sunday?

Millions of people do this during Lent as a sign of sacrifice and to test their self-discipline.

Christians believe that this is to represent Christ’s sacrifice when he went into the desert to pray and fast for 40 days before later dying on the cross.

In The New Testament, while Christ was there, Satan tempted him to turn away from His earthly mission and purpose to worship him instead. Christ refused, which is why people may give something up, in order to test their self-discipline.

Could you give up something you “truly” enjoy for the next 28 days, to prove you are disciplined?

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

“IF”

Small word but when applied can make major a shift in one’s whole frame of reference. Do you ever just ask yourself…if? I often do. What if…I was another race? another sex? younger? believed another way?

Then, what if I looked like what I’ve been doing? where I’ve been? oh LORD, what I’ve thought?

Where would I be? look like? live? “IF” I didn’t believe?

I thought about it

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

Don’t Limit God
You are the creation. He is the Creator. You cannot out-think the One who made you. He delights in performing the Impossible. He is the Master of the Turn Around. Never underestimate Him.

“And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible,” (Mark 10:27).
