WEDNESDAY WISDOM

INTEGRITY

~ the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles

Who are you if you are not your beliefs? How do you become YOU? Are you truly you? Are you what you do, more so than that which you believe? What are your principles…are you them? What are your rules you live, love and pray by? I want to be known for my integrity. Some things, I just will not do or agree with. What has happened to our moral integrity in America? What/who am I, if not who my Creator (I believe) say I am? Or am I really who I feel like I am…TODAY?

Why do we have to apologize for our FAITH or BELIEFS? I applaud those men and women that stand for what they ‘SAY’ they believe because now they are living it by standing in those beliefs for all to see.

Let that man or woman be YOU.

Make small commitments and keep them. Be a light, not a judge. Be a model, not a critic. Be a part of the solution, not the problem. ~ Stephen Covey

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

FAITH VS BELIEF

I’ve always believed that Faith was stronger than Belief. As I grew in the Faith, I would hear how the two are used interchangeably. Do we not know the difference? Do I?

Faith and Belief are not the same. The Biblical definition of faith – “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). I like KJV…”Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Some Scriptures are hard for me to recite in another version. Some Scriptures seems more fluid in King James. The dictionary definition of faith – Complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Faith in its truest from is when you have confidence in God to the point that it causes you to act.

James 2:19-21 KJV

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? (ABRAHAM believed what GOD said!)

Belief on the other hand, The dictionary definition of belief – An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. Therefore, we can believe and not have faith.
