WEDNESDAY WISDOM

Lent?

What do you value most right now and what matters least?

Lent is the season where the Christians prepare for Easter. Starting with Ash Wednesday. Lent spans 40+ days until Thursday, April 17th. In the fourth chapter of Matthew, Yeshua spends 40 days in the desert, fasting, praying, and preparing for his mission. Lent is your opportunity to re-focus.

Lent is your invitation to take your spiritual life seriously. Lent is the perfect time to form life-giving habits and abandon self-destructive habits. Lent is your chance to discover the abundant life CHRIST invites us to at Easter.

Take these 40 days to explore God’s dream for your life and it will change everything. Are you ready? What do you have to lose?

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

WHAT GUIDES YOUR LIFE?

Do you live by traditional values? Something that’s been handed down in your family, values and mores. Do you live by the world’s standards? Get all you can, can all you get and then sit on the can. Or, are you lead by the Spirit of GOD? Using the standard rule book, The Bible, with CHRIST as the center of all that you are: how you live with others, how you treat others and how you share with others. Could you do something for someone tomorrow who cannot repay you? How would that feel? Regretful, resentful or rejoiceful? Our Lord loves a cheerful giver! 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

WHAT IS YOUR GUIDE?

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

Psalm 139:13-18

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
    How vast is the sum of them!
 Were I to count them,
    they would outnumber the grains of sand—
    when I awake, I am still with you.

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

UNFORGIVENESS is a heavy burden that shackles our hearts and hinders our spiritual journey. However, the Scriptures reveals the power of forgiveness and the freedom it brings. After looking in The WORD, we will see its destructive nature and the call to release it. Let’s choose forgiveness, showing kindness, compassion, and love, just as The LORD has forgiven us through CHRIST’S finished work on the cross.
