We talked to trees at a seminar I attended once. It was quite releasing.
THE MESSAGE OF THE TREE
Alice Polk Hill
The silent tree that listens by the road; If it had lyric lips what songs ‘twould sing, Of good and bad bound in the human load; Wrecked homes—false friends—the sore from gossip’s sting, The cruel word that leaves a lasting smart, The broken vow that scalds the cheek with tears, The happy laugh that springs from happy heart— The silent tree keeps secret thru the years!
We, in the beauty world, are still in the protection mode and mindset. I was hoping for a return to what was “NORMAL” by now with the beauty industry in compliance…but, that is not the case for all. Please protect yourself and others.
Today, hair-stylists and barbers were allowed to return to their shops and salons, but not nail technicians? Stylists and barbers are closer to their clients’ faces than nail technicians: washing hair, arching brows and trimming nose hairs, etc.
Like my Mother use to say, “Get somewhere and sit down cause, you ain’t running nothing but your shoes over”.
Whether practicing Universal Precautions or not, the beauty industry has been shut down by this invisible menace! We are forced to practice social distancing but with positive consequences. No hair styling, and no nail-care…The 6 ft Rule. We must be willing to protect ourselves and our clients.
1 You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, 2 Say this: “God, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!” 3 That’s right – he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. 4 His huge outstretched arms protect you – under them you’re perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm. 5 Fear nothing – not wild wolves in the night, not flying arrows in the day, 6 Not disease that prowls through the darkness, not disaster that erupts at high noon. 7 Even though others succumb all around, drop like flies right and left, no harm will even graze you. 8 You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance, watch the wicked turn into corpses.
9 Yes, because God’s your refuge, the High God your very own home, 10 Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. 11 He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. 12 If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. 13 You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path. 14 “If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God, “I’ll get you out of any trouble. I’ll give you the best of care if you’ll only get to know and trust me. 15 Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times; I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party. 16 I’ll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!”
