A MOTHER’S STORY ~ PART 2

No Charge

Well she looked at him standing there and expecting
And a thousand memories flashed through her mind
So she picked up pen and turned the paper over and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you
Holding you inside me, No CHARGE
For the nights I sat up with you, doctored you
And prayed for you, NO CHARGE
For the time and tears
And the costs through the years
There is NO CHARGE
When you add it all up
The full cost of my love is, NO CHARGE
For the nights filled with grey
And the worries ahead

NO CHARGE
For the advice and the knowledge
And the costs of your college
NO CHARGE
For the toys, school, and clothes
And for wiping your nose
There’s NO CHARGE my son
When you add it all the real cost of my love is NO CHARGE

After that mom finished talking to her little boy
He looked up at her great big o’ tears in his eyes
And he said “Mama, I sure do love you”
And then reached out he got the letter and turned it over and he wrote in great big words
PAID-IN-FULL
When you add it all up
The real cost of my love is NO CHARGE! ~~Shirley Caesar

WEDNESDAY WISDOM

The 5 L’s: Dr McGarey suggests to evaluate and order our lives:

#5: Listening: Listening devoid of love is mere sounds, lacking depth and resonance. However, when we listen with love, a profound transformation occurs. Love-infused listening transcends surface-level reception, leading to genuine understanding. It is through listening with love and empathy that we cultivate true connection. This empathetic listening allows us to truly support others, creating a space where they feel heard, validated, and understood. In turn, this reciprocal exchange of love and understanding brings about a deep sense of fulfillment, enriching both the listener and the speaker.

SUNDAY SPIRITUAL

UNFORGIVENESS is a heavy burden that shackles our hearts and hinders our spiritual journey. However, the Scriptures reveals the power of forgiveness and the freedom it brings. After looking in The WORD, we will see its destructive nature and the call to release it. Let’s choose forgiveness, showing kindness, compassion, and love, just as The LORD has forgiven us through CHRIST’S finished work on the cross.

#4- Laughter: “In the absence of love, laughter has the potential to become mean-spirited and cruel.” However, when love is present, laughter becomes a source of genuine joy and happiness. Love acts as a transformative force, infusing laughter with warmth, compassion, and a deep sense of connection. It fosters an environment where laughter emerges from a place of kindness, fostering positivity, and strengthening bonds between people. With love as its foundation, laughter becomes a beautiful expression of shared happiness and a source of immense delight.

#3 LABOR: Engaging in work or activities motivated by love brings a profound sense of fulfillment and enables us to authentically express our true selves. When labor is infused with love, it transcends mere duty or obligation, becoming a meaningful and purposeful endeavor. Love infuses our efforts with passion, dedication, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. It empowers us to tap into our unique talents and abilities, allowing us to contribute to the world in a way that aligns with our deepest values and aspirations. Through labor driven by love, we find fulfillment and experience the profound joy of self-expression.
